Website Accessibility Policy (ADA / WCAG 2.2)
Effective Date: May 1, 2025
Artificial Objects LLC is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to all individuals, including those with disabilities, in compliance with Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, and applicable state accessibility laws. We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), which represents the current de facto standard for legal ADA website compliance.
6.1 Our Accessibility Commitment
We are actively working to ensure that our Site and all digital assets — including product pages, checkout, account management, and customer communications — are perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust (the POUR principles of WCAG 2.2) for all users, regardless of ability.
6.2 Accessibility Features
Our Site is designed and maintained to include:
- Alternative text for meaningful product images and visual content.
- Keyboard-navigable interface elements, including checkout, search, and account functions.
- Sufficient color contrast ratios (minimum 4.5:1 for text; 3:1 for UI components) per WCAG 2.2 AA.
- Descriptive link text and headings for screen reader compatibility.
- No content that is known to cause photosensitive seizures.
- Form fields with clear labels and accessible error messages.
6.3 Third-Party Content
Certain content or functionality on our Site may be provided by third-party service providers (e.g., payment processors, social media plugins, analytics tools). While we make reasonable efforts to work with third parties whose tools meet accessibility standards, we cannot guarantee the full accessibility of all third-party content. Where third-party inaccessibility is identified, we will seek to provide an accessible alternative.
6.4 Reporting Accessibility Issues
If you encounter any barriers to accessing content or functionality on our Site, or if any page or feature is not fully accessible to you, please notify us immediately so that we may take corrective action. Contact our Accessibility Coordinator at: legal@artificialobjects.com with the subject line "Accessibility Issue." Please include: (1) a description of the accessibility barrier you experienced; (2) the specific page or feature involved; and (3) your contact information. We will acknowledge
your report within five (5) business days and work to resolve confirmed accessibility issues in a timely manner.
6.5 Ongoing Commitment
We are committed to ongoing accessibility improvement through regular audits, staff training, and incorporation of accessibility requirements into our development and content update workflows. We do not consider accessibility a one-time compliance exercise, but an ongoing obligation and reflection of our commitment to inclusivity. Note: We do not rely on accessibility overlay or widget tools as a substitute for genuine WCAG 2.2 compliance. Our accessibility program is based on source-level remediation and continuous testing.
